Thesis: The timing factors are tied to the three main "wonders".
Introduction: In our last study we considered the overall picture of "the little horn" of the fourth imperial period of the kingdoms of men. This "little horn" is the final development of the devil's long-term plan to turn humanity against The Creator in an effort to subvert the Rule of Heaven so that he (the devil) may take the throne away from The One And True God and sit himself upon it. The days are coming, and may well be just around the corner, when these prophecies regarding this "little horn" will be fulfilled. We have been told ahead of time so that we should not be deceived into participation with the anti-God in his efforts to establish his own sovereignty over the creation that he, himself, could not create.
Now, there are three more "timing" issues that were revealed to Daniel and we are going to wind up these studies in Daniel with our consideration of these declarations of "time".
- I. The Revelations Of The Periods of Time.
- A. There is another "time, times, and half a time".
- B. There is a period of twelve hundred and ninety days (which seems to be an extension of the twelve hundred and sixty days that make up prophecies of the last half of Daniel's "seventy sevens").
- C. There is a period of thirteen hundred and thirty five days.
- II. There Are Three Major Events Involved.
- A. There is the "shattering of the power of the holy people".
- B. There is a "separation of the peoples who are in the dust of the ground" by means of resurrection.
- C. There is the actual establishment of the Kingdom of God on the earth so that the people of God may inherit the kingdom.
